Dr. Prasad Karlapur

Dr. Prasad Karlapur has been the principal dentist and owner of Harrison Dental Care since 2014, bringing over 20 years of clinical experience to his practice. His dedication to high-quality, patient-centered care has earned him a reputation as a trusted figure in Canberra’s dental community.
Dr. Prasad began his dental journey in 2002 after earning a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, later completing a Master’s in Prosthodontics in 2007 from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore India. He successfully completed Australian Dental Council exams in 2011. His expertise spans a broad range of procedures, with special focus on Implant and Esthetic Dentistry. Dr. Prasad performs minimally invasive guided implant surgery and implant-supported restorations, often collaborating with specialists on complex cases to ensure optimal results.
In addition to implants, Dr. Prasad excels in esthetic treatments, including ceramic and composite veneers and crowns, helping patients achieve beautiful, functional smiles. He is experienced in general dentistry and has over a decade of expertise in root canal treatments, providing comfort and effective solutions for his patients.
Dr. Prasad is committed to continuous learning and has pursued training in GBR Implant procedures, a Mini Residency in Prosthodontics, and a Comprehensive Orthodontic Course. As a certified provider of Invisalign, Angel Align, ClearCorrect, and other aligners, he offers a range of modern orthodontic options.

Dr. Jeffery Sun

Dr. Jefferey Sun holds a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Sydney. Known for his kind and caring nature, Dr. Sun creates a friendly environment where comfort and trust come first, ensuring his patients feel at ease throughout their dental care. With his calm and gentle approach, he takes the time to explain things step-by-step. Dr. Sun has a keen interest in all aspects of dentistry and is particularly cherished by children and families.
Voted School Captain and awarded Dux of Wodonga Senior Secondary College in 2009, Dr. Sun has enjoyed a regional lifestyle before moving to Sydney and settling in Canberra. He is committed to providing top-quality care with state-of-the-art equipment and the latest advances in evidence-based research. As a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), Dr. Sun is dedicated to lifelong learning. After completing Honours in an ANU-CSIRO joint research program, his research interests include dental materials, molecular biochemistry, diet and health implications of microbiomes, aiming to improve both oral health and overall well-being.
In clinics, Dr. Sun’s most cherished moments involve ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of care in an environment where they feel genuinely looked after, receiving heartfelt thank-you letters from his patients at both public hospitals and in the private sector.
Outside dentistry, Dr. Sun enjoys writing and producing music, performing with his bass guitar, violin, and keyboard in a pop-rock band. He’s also a keen gardener, taking on the challenge of Canberra winters.
